Wood Options That Offer A Range of Benefits
We construct our wood fences from either cedar or pressure-treated lumber. Cedar is an excellent middle-of-the-road choice of wood for fencing. And it’s rot-resistant with natural oils that help deter insects. Furthermore, treating cedar with a wood stain can prevent it from graying, which can help prolong the life of the wood fence.
Pressure-treated lumber is an excellent option if you are working with a budget. The treating process helps protect the wood from insects, fungal decay, and other environmental factors. Our pressure-treated lumbar is pre-stained cedar-toned and a true 3/4 in thick by 6 in wide.
Choosing the Best Type of Wood Fences
When selecting the best wood fence, you have a range of options to consider:
- Picket fences – usually three to four feet high and available in a variety of styles. These fences discourage climbing, keep out unwanted animals or visitors, and are a budget-friendly option.
- Horizontal fences – these fences offer a stylish alternative to the standard privacy fence. They are usually six feet tall and are great for decks, parking pads, and patios. Available in customer styles to fit your individual taste.
- Privacy fences – typically six feet tall these fences offer maximum privacy. These fences are also good for blocking the wind, noise, and views of the neighbors.
